Not getting responses from messages sent to non Facebook friends on Messenger?

If it’s important to you to receive messages on Messenger, from people who aren’t on your Facebook friend list. For example, you had always hoped a long lost family member would find and contact you. Are you aware that their messages will not drop into your messenger inbox? Instead, they will go into a section called Message Requests and if you don’t deliberately search in that section of Messenger you won’t see them.

Also, please bear this in mind when you send out messages on Messenger, when trying to find someone important. If they don’t know to look in Message Requests, that message can sit there for a very long time without being seen by them. Sometimes even years later. So it stays as being delivered but not read.

If you can discover if they have a Facebook page, like a business page. If you message them on this page, even if you are not on their friend list on Facebook, your message will drop into their page inbox so they will see it.

Another way to get around the message request issue is to see if they have made any public posts and write a message on that post telling them to check their message requests in Messenger.

If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact me and ask.

What is Genetic Genealogy work?

Genetic genealogy is the practice of combining DNA testing with traditional genealogical research to help identify long-lost family members/genetic relatives. Some people call this job a dna detective.

By analysing your DNA results and comparing them with others in commercial databases, close genetic matches can be identified. Various tools and resources—such as DNA database tools, historical records, genealogical research, and family tree development, as well as other tools—are then used to determine how these matches are related to you and to help identify and locate, if you wish, the genetic relative/s you are seeking.
